Hyderabad: Fraudsters duped a woman of Rs 7 lakh after assuring to provide a job with a prominent telecom services provider.
The victim had uploaded a profile on a job portal and received a call from a person who claimed to be an executive of the company. He offered her a job and conducted an online interview. “After few days, he contacted her and said she was selected. He then collected Rs 7 lakh from her towards security deposit, processing fee, etc.,” Cybercrime police officials said.
Following a complaint from the victim, a case was registered and investigation is on.
