Hyderabad, Sept.5 (Hydnow): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & Nalgonda MP N.Uttam Kumar Reddy today lashed out at state government for failing to contain the Covid 19 virus. He also alleged that TRS led state government had also left the people and the governance to the mercy of God.
Uttam said that the TRS Government was still trying to ‘manage’ Covid-19 situation by tampering with the statistics and creating the illusion of beating the disease. He said the Telangana High Court has pointed out the lapses in the public healthcare system on multiple occasions during the pandemic situation. However, the State Government did not take any measures to plug the loopholes. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao did not even follow the suggestions made by Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and treated those advises as political criticism.
Reddy said that the first case of Covid-19 was registered in Telangana in the month of March. Even after six months, the State Government did not improve testing facilities. He said that the World Health Organisation’s norm of ‘Track, Test & Treat’ was not followed in Telangana which led to the spread of Coronavirus in almost all areas of the State. He said it was due to the negligent attitude of KCR Govt that Covid-19 has spread to even small villages and hamlets.
He also alleged that the public healthcare system was deliberately destroyed so as to benefit the private hospitals. He asked Health Minister Eatala Rajender to clarify on the announcement of the State Government taking over 50% Covid beds in private hospitals. He said that the Health Minister should name the private hospitals whose 50% beds were acquired and at what cost. He alleged that CM KCR and Health Minister Rajender were looting the people in the name of Coronavirus.
Addressing media persons along with CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka MLAs D. Sridhar Babu , T. Jayaprakash Reddy, Seetakka at Indira Bhavan, he alleged the state government had not equipped any of its hospitals with equipment. He also said that there were no CT scans and angiogram in the hospitals of the state. Reddy says that there was no impact on the CM KCR led state government despite the strictures passed by the high court of the state. He said that the state government was not in the position to hold the tests properly even after six months of the impact of the Covid 19 virus. He alleged that the state government was hiding the deaths of the victims of the virus.
Targeting the state Health Minister Etela Rajender he alleged that the health minister was ignoring the private hospitals despite their violations. Citing the statement of the state government that it has taken over the 50 percent beds in the private hospitals, he demanded it to reveal the details of the beds . He alleged that both CM KCR and health minister Etela Rajender was looting the state in then name of the Covid 19 virus. He alleged that the health minister was behaving in an inhuman manner in his constituency Huzurababd and added that he got false cases registered against their party leader Praveen Yadav for pointing out the mistakes.
CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka demanded the state government to hold the Covid 19 tests on all the people of the state. He also demanded the state government to include the Covid 19 disease in Aarogyasri scheme. He further demanded the state government to allocate huge amount of funds to the health department of the state. He said that they would soon meet the governor of the state and submit a representation on their visit of the government hospitals. He said that they would approach the high court of the state if the government did not respond on their representation .
He said that they would also release a book by revealing the details of their visit. (Hydnow)
