Timely loans should be provided as per the target set for women’s economic development – Commissioner Ronald Rose

Hyderabad, September 22: Commissioner Ronald Rose has said that loans should be provided to the women’s self-help groups in the city to contribute to their economic and social development. The Commissioner reviewed the schemes implemented in the city through the Urban Community Development Program on Friday.

On this occasion, the commissioner said… Commissioner Ronald Rose said that women’s groups should work in a structured and natural manner in sanitation. In many colonies in the city, the officials have been directed to share the women of the self-help groups in such a way that they do not drop the household garbage at will. The representatives of the slum-level federation said that they should check whether their community members are giving money to Swachh Auto. Everyone should take measures not to throw household garbage at the garbage point or any other place at will.

They want to provide more than the target in this financial year through bank linkage. Steps should be taken to provide bank linkage to those who are eligible. They want to discuss the government schemes in the SHG monthly meeting. Financial matters should also be discussed and appropriate decisions should be taken. He said that the details of what business is being done for the loans taken should also be collected. Bank linkage should provide financial assistance for women’s financial independence.

ID cards should be issued to street vendors to provide loans as per the specified target. The women of SHGs said that every social issue discussed in their monthly meeting should be handed over a copy of the resolution.
Necessary steps should be taken to achieve women’s empowerment. The officials were directed to grant loans from time to time. Efforts should be made to provide self-employment schemes to slum-level and town-level federations.

The officials were directed to resolve the applications of senior citizens through Vikasham immediately. All arrangements should be made so that those who do not have the right to vote should be registered as voters and exercise their vote.
