Hyderabad, June 13 (Hydnow): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today said that urban forest parks will be turning out as oxygen factories in future.
He informed that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will hold a meeting on June 16 with collector and other officials to discuss on urban forestry development.
KCR will discuss in the meeting on need to increase green cover, urban forests, facilities and steps to complete the works. Haritha haram, horticulture development in villages and towns and green expansion to be discussed.

The CS said that steps to be taken to increase green cover in the state. Along with a team of officials, he made a visit to Kandlakoya Urban Forest Park. He inspected for three hours the facilities the greenery, plants and facilities and plan to develop forest Parks in urban areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief secretary has asked people to participate in the process of increasing greenery. He discussed on forest rejuvenation, lands, humidity, route stock development, plants in the forest parks area, plants outside them and others. The park is quite good looking like heaven he appreciated. Of 59 planned so far 32 parks ready and 95 parks to be set up across the state.
He said that Yadadri model of Miyavaki saplings to be planted in thick rows. He appealed to people to take part in green drive to get better environment. Steps to be taken to adopt saturation method to overcome financial shortage and fencing to protect forest areas. (Hydnow)
