Hyderabad, June 20 (Hydnow): An annual solar eclipse of this year, which will be partially visible in the country, will occur on Sunday. City based Planetary Society’s founder and Secretary Raghunandan said today.
Planetary Society, India in association with Center for Space Medicine Conducted while Addressing media persons here in the city, he said that the annular eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon were exactly in line on June 21 and added that the apparent size of the Moon would be smaller than that of the Sun. He said that the Sun would appear as a very bright ring, or annulus, surrounding the outline of the Moon.
He also said that Eclipse would be visible only in few places of northern Indianand added that rest of India would observe the event as partial solar eclipse. He said that the Timings across the world would be across the world between 9.16 a.m. IST (3.46 a.m. UTC) to 3.04 p.m. IST (9.34 a.m. UTC). They said that , in India depending on the location of a Person from Central path, the eclipse would be mostly in partial phase will visible between 9.56 a.m. to 2.29 p.m. He said that the Eclipse would be visible in the region covering Africa (except Western and Southern parts), South East Europe, Middle East, Asia (except North and Eastern Russia), Indonesia etc..

They further said that Greatest Phase of Eclipse would be visible at 11.56 a.m. with 51 percent of the Sun covering by Moon in Telangana. Whereas in Andhra Pradesh, the Greatest Phase of the eclipse would be visible at 12.03 p.m. with 46 percent.
