Six-Year-Old Boy Was Attack By A Stray Dog

Hyderabad, Dec 15 (Hydnow): Again the stray dogs are getting angry in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limit.  

On December 14, an incident that took place in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad caused a stir. A six-year-old boy was attacked by a stray dog.  

Stray dogs tried to attack three children who were playing in front of the house in Shanti Nagar street of Dilsukhnagar P&T colony,  Seeing them, the children ran out of the gate to enter the house in fear.  At the same time, two dogs left the place.  A dog came inside the gate and bit the leg of a six-year-old boy.  Meanwhile, the family members with the children’s screams came running out in fear of what had happened.  A woman took a boy who had fallen in a dog attack.  The other two children and another person chased away the attacking dog.

Two children are safe in this incident.  One boy suffered minor injuries.  The family members immediately took the injured boy to Niloufar Hospital.  The child is currently under the supervision of doctors.  The scenes related to this incident were recorded in the CCTV cameras installed there.

In another incident, a 13-year-old girl Komalla Maheswari died while undergoing treatment at Secunderabad Gandhi Hospital. Maheshwari, a 7th-standard student of Pochampally Government Model School, was attacked by stray dogs while doing her homework outside her house on the outskirts of Pochampally village in Manakondoru Mandal center.  Despite treatment of almost 40 days, she did not recover from her injuries, she died while undergoing treatment.

In the past, we have seen incidents where many children died in Telangana due to stray dog attacks.  It is worrying that such incidents are happening again.  The residents of Hyderabad are demanding to stop the attacks of stray dogs.  Given the ongoing dog attacks, the state government and the concerned authorities are requested to take quick action to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.  (Hydnow)
