Resume Air Services From Warangal, Release Rs 2537 Cr : KTR

Hyderabad, Aug.24 (Hydnow): Telangana IT and Industries Minister, K T Rama Rao today urged the Centre to restore air services from Warangal under UDAAN scheme. He also appealed for immediate release of Rs 2537.82 crores arrears to Telangana state under several heads.

KTR has called on Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in national capital along with state Planning Commission deputy chairman and former MP Vinod Kumar today in Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi.

He submitted a memorandum and a report to Hardeep Singh about the resumption of air services from Warangal city to other locations in Telangana and release of the funds pending for some time. KTR has urged Hardeep Singh for speedy release of the arrears and cooperate for development of the state.

Later talking to media persons in Delhi, the IT minister has said that he submitted a wish list to Puri. The Union minister has instructed the officials for completion of the works and release of the funds, KTR said.
Hardeep Singh has assured to send an official team in 10 days to conduct a fresh survey in Warangal city for air services resumption, he said. Soon Warangal city people will get air services he hoped.

The IT minister has said that the central minister has offered all support and cooperation of the state. Hardeep Singh has sought a report of details of welfare schemes in Telangana to be replicated in other states, KTR said. I informed to Hardeep Singh about new municipal act, Pattana Pragati scheme, he said.

KTR urged the funds include two bed room scheme Rs 1184.8 crore , Swachch Bharat Rs 217.49 crore, Rs 351.77 crore Amruth, releases under 15th Finance Commission for GHMC (million plus city) and also non million plus city of 783.75crs. He has explained the various projects which are in completion stage taken by the state government to provide basic amenities (public toilets, dump yard, sewage treatment plant) in urban bodies.
