Hyderabad, Oct 31 (Hydnow):  Hyderabad district election Officer, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose has asked all the political parties to take prior permission for holding public meetings and rallies which is necessary. 

Ronald Rose held a meeting with representatives of political parties along with Deputy DEO Anudeep Durishetti at the GHMC headquarters on Tuesday as part of the election process. On this occasion, the election officer Ronald Rose said as part of the election rules, political parties should follow the code of conduct of elections from the date of notification till the completion of elections. As part of the campaign, all political parties have been asked to obtain prior permission through the Suvidha app. He said that the local police officers should be informed about the place, time, and other details of meetings and rallies. He said permission must be taken for loudspeakers. He said that anyone obstructing the meeting should take the help of police officers.

He said that the activists participating in the campaign should have badges and identity cards. He said that the voter slip distributed by political leaders should not have any symbol or party symbol. Election-related complaints should be filed by politicians to Election Commission observers, Returning Officer, Zonal, Sector Magistrate, CEO, ECI.

The representatives of the political party informed that voters should not be asked for votes on the basis of caste, religion, and community during the campaign. He said that speeches should not be made in a way that provokes caste, religion, and language. He said that no campaign should be conducted in the place of prayer. Political party representatives should not give freebies to voters within 100 meters of polling stations. No campaign should be conducted 48 hours before polling. Agents and candidates should not carry large amounts of cash and should not remove posters of other parties. Loudspeakers should not be used from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Liquor should not be distributed during elections, he said.

From November 3, the Returning Officers will accept the nominations for issuing notification through Form-1. Nominations can be taken from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nominations will be received on working days from 3rd November to 10th November. All the columns in the affidavit must be filled. A copy of the electoral name should be attached along with the nomination of the candidate. If the contesting candidate belongs to a recognized national party, only one candidate can be nominated by the registered party, while ten candidates have to be nominated by independents. Nomination papers will also be received online, he said.

Nomination papers can be submitted by a candidate, proposal, election agent, or authorized person. He said that hard coffee should be served on the date indicated by AR. He said that only four persons along with the candidate will be allowed in the RO’s office while making the nomination. Contesting candidates should publish their criminal records in leading newspapers and TV channels. Only three vehicles are permitted to the RO office along with the candidate. (Hydnow)
