Hyderabad, July.6 (Hydnow): TPCC Vice President Ponnam Prabhakar today took part in a protest Prithwish in front of Karimnagar SE office of Electricty department. The party workers and leaders took part in the agitation program in large numbers.
Speaking on the occasion he said that the increased in the power charges had become a burden to the people, who have lost the jobs due to the Covid 19 virus. He said that the consumers had received huge amount of the power bills due to the implementation of telescopic method as it calculated three months bills as one single slab. He demanded the state government to waive off the bills of all the poor people of the state as they were not in a position in pay the bills.
Targeting CM KCR for calling upon the people of the state to not pay their house rents, he questioned the CM over his silence on the issue of the power bills. He said that the party had organised the protest programs demanding the state government to waive off the power bills. (Hydnow)
