Following the news regarding a fight between the Taliban and the resistance group in Afghanistan’s Panjshir, now the update has come that around 600 Taliban were killed in the northeastern side of Panjshir.

According to reports, the spokesperson for resistance group Fahim Dashti shared that, “About 600 Taliban have been liquidated in various districts of Panjshir since morning. More than 1,000 Taliban have been captured or surrendered themselves.” He added that the Taliban had issues with getting supplies.

“For the last two days Taliban had several attacks from different points, fortunately, faced deadly defeat, dozens have been killed, abt 40 captives, 4 Hamvee and many other artillery vehicles destroyed by NRF,” shared the spokesperson.

Now the Taliban control the entire country but not the Panjshir valley. This was the case last time as well when they ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001. Even then they were able to capture the entire country but not the valley. As of now they have control over the entirety of Afghanistan and are ruling the country but their fight against the resistance forces in Panjshir is seeing a halt as there are landmines everywhere.

Panjshir is where the National Resistance Front was born, which is commanded by Ahmad Massoud, son of late ex-Afghan guerrilla commander Ahmad Shah Massoud, and ex-Vice President Amrullah Saleh. They are leading the NRF.
