In a relief for people, the government has allowed the movement of those facing an emergency during the second phase of a nationwide coronavirus lockdown.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday issued detailed guidelines on the second phase of lockdown 2.0, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an extension of the nationwide shutdown to tackle the spread of novel coronavirus.
On the movement of people during the lockdown, the government said that those dealing with an emergency will be allowed to step out of their homes. The emergency situation can be medical, veterinary care and for procuring essential commodities.
