The Ibrahimpur villagers of Siddipet district chose to send birthday messages to Finance Minister T Harish Rao in a unique way, instead of just sending him messages or calling him over the phone to convey the wishes.
Since the Finance Minister has been campaigning on the importance of planting and protecting the saplings during every meeting, each and every household of Ibrahimpur, which was adopted by the Harish Rao, have planted one sapling to mark their leader’s birthday on Wednesday.
The villagers have sent the picture messages to Harish Rao after planting the sapling on the premises of their house. The village, having 300 houses, have planted not less than 300 saplings. While most of the villagers chose to plant fruit-bearing trees in the backyard of their houses. The citizens planted neem trees roadside of their houses.

Rao, who adopted the village, has developed Ibrahimpur into a model village.
