Hyderabad, July 6 (Hydnow): BCs Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar directed the officials concerned to prepare an action plan for the launch of 33 new Gurukul Schools across the State from this academic year onwards
Minister Kamalakar held a review meeting on the proposal of launching new Gurukul schools at his chamber here on Wednesday and discussed about the action plan for commencing the new schools after the consent of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Minister said there are presently 281 BCs Gurukul education institutions, in which 143 schools, 119 schools and colleges,19 junior colleges and one degree college and altogether a total of 1,52,440 students are studying in these institutions.
“Apart from 33 Gurukul Schools, the State government is planning to launch another 15 degree colleges and 21 study circles across the State soon,” Kamalakar said
The Minister said the State government is aimed at working to provide a world class education to BC students who are pursuing the education in Gurukul institutions.
On the occasion, officials were directed to ensure the supply of quality rice to all the Gurukul institutions and to provide the best diet to all inmates.
Higher education chairman Limbadri, BC welfare department chief secretary Burra Venkatesham, Study Circles director Alok Kumar and others were present. (Hydnow)
