A local court convicted two persons in a rape case and awarded them a punishment of 10 years RI and a fine of Rs 5,000 each.
The accused, MD Hasnuddin and MD Salauddin were maternal uncles of a 14- year-old girl who they raped.
According to the police, after the death of the victim’s father, she and her mother were staying at her grandmother’s house. The victim’s mother, a labourer, used to leave the victim alone while going for work.

The accused persons raped her several times while she was alone. The victim then informed her mother and grandmother, who informed the police.
A case was filed against them and were produced before a local court. The victim was shifted to a child care institution for protection.
