Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded 1982 new Covid-19 cases and 12 deaths on Saturday taking the overall toll to 627 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 79,495. The total number of active cases as on Saturday night in the State is 22, 869.
Between Friday and Saturday night, 1669 persons had recovered, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 55, 999 with a recovery rate of 70 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 68.32 per cent.
Out of the 22, 869 active Covid positive patients, as many as 16, 112 Covid-19 positive patients are under home isolation across the State while 6, 757 positive cases are in institutional care.

The State health authorities conducted 22, 295 Covid-19 tests till Saturday night while results of 1509 more swab samples are pending. So far, 6, 13, 231 swab samples have been tested in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 79, 495 have tested positive.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from all the districts include 12 from Adilabad, 64 from Bhadradri, 463 from areas under GHMC, 42 from Jagtiyal, 78 from Jangaon, 21 from Bupalapally, 93 from Gadwal, 62 from Kamareddy, 96 from Karimnagar, 47 from Khammam, seven from Komarambheem Asifabad, 43 from Mahabubnagar, 17 from Mahabubabad, 31 from Mancherial, 26 from Medak, 141 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 21 from Mulugu, 23 from Nagarkurnool, 59 from Nalgonda, three from Narayanpet, 47 from Nirmal, 58 from Nizamabad, 71 from Peddapally, 29 from Siricilla, 139 from Rangareddy, 49 from Sangareddy, 55 from Siddipet, 20 from Suryapet, 10 from Vikarabad, 28 from Wanaparthy, 40 from Warangal Rural, 71 from Warangal Urban and 16 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
