Hyderabad, Aug.12 (Hydnow): State BJP senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy on Friday advised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao to do some self-introspection about his ruling than blaming the Centre for every issue being faced by the State.
In a media statement, Gudur said in the cabinet meeting being held on August 11, that the Chief Minister blamed the Centre than discussing the issues of the State. He said several burning issues have been left out in the cabinet meeting which has been held after a long gap.
“Except for taking some decisions on some subjects, the cabinet has failed to address the issues like the inundation of pump houses of Kaleswaram, filling up of 82,000 vacancies in government departments, issues in Dharani, damage to crops and houses due to unprecedented floods, viral fevers, rising cases of Covid, construction of 2BHK houses and others have been ignored,” the BJP leader charged.
Gudur said the CM has taken a decision on Aasara pensions keeping the by-election to be held in Munugodu Assembly Constituency and dubbed it as an election stunt. He said none of the ministers have dared to raise the issues being faced by the people in the cabinet meeting.
He said the cabinet did not take note of the huge damage that occurred to the pump houses of the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project which were taken up with a whopping cost of Rs 1.30 lakh crore. Due to the design faults, the pump houses were inundated and the project has become defunct.
He said no action has been taken on the engineers who were responsible for the huge damage to the pump houses. “The Chief Minister did not admonish the officials responsible for this. Probably he may have to admonish himself,” the BJP leader said sarcastically. He said time and again that the Chief Minister has been blaming the Centre for the problems being faced by the State to cover up his own failures. It is nothing but a bad carpenter blaming his tools, he said. The Chief Minister has turned a surplus budget State into a debt-ridden one and throwing the blame on the Centre.
The BJP leader said people have seen how the Parliament members of TRS have behaved in the recent Parliament sessions. “Rather than focusing on the issues of the State, the TRS MPs have joined hands with Opposition and wasted the valuable time of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha,” he added. He said people would teach a lesson again in the Munugodu by-election like in Dubbaka and Huzurabad by-elections. (Hydnow)
