Hyderabad: Emotional scenes were witnessed in Secunderabad on Sunday when a woman ran into a crowd and hugged ACP Mahankali Division Bandari Devender, who was on bandobast duty while Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav was inspecting development works.
The woman, identified as Kavitha in her early 50s, broke down seeing the ACP, expressing her gratitude towards him, as he had helped her a few years ago when he was posted as SHO Tappachabutra. The scenes caught everyone by surprise.
The woman then explained how Ravinder had helped her when she was in severe health condition and paid for her medical expenses.
” I am alive today because of him, and I can never forget his help. I always wish he goes big in his career,” Kavitha said.
Back in 2014, Kavitha, a resident of Karwan, was suffering from a stomach-related ailment. Ravinder got to know about her health and reached out to her. He got her admitted to a private hospital, where she underwent surgery and recovered.
Meanwhile, Ravinder was transferred from Tappachabutra. On Sunday, while he was on bandobast duty, Kavitha was traveling in a city bus, identified him, stopped the bus, and came running to him. After expressing her gratitude, she took his phone number and left the place. She also showed a picture of Ravinder saved on her mobile phone.
Ravinder said that he never expected her to remember him. ” It’s one of the happiest moments to see someone who received some small help remember you and identify in such a big crowd,” he said.
