Hyderabad, Sept.21 (Hydnow): Finance Minister T Harish Rao today lashed out at the Central government for bringing new laws of agriculture and power against people.
He opposed the centre for passing the agriculture and power bills against the country and its people.
At a program in Siddipet the minister unveiled a book Paragamritha a compilation of articles written by late TRS MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy. Later he launched a scathing attack on the BJP government at the centre for trying to dump the farmers and people.
Harish Rao accused the Modi government of allowing import of maize crop about 70 lak metric tons. The TRS demands cancellation of the two bills and continue protests with other parties in Delhi.
Telangana has procured 10 lakh metric tons of maize from our farmers and the centre has to purchase it. Instead giving hand to states by importing this crop the minister expressed discontent.
The centre, he said, plans to offer farm produce to private operators to help corporate forces. This will ruin future of the farmers across the country and time is to protest he said. The parliament saw ruckus and pandemonium while passing of the two bills of agriculture and power. Despite the stiff opposition by several other parties in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, the Modi Government has passed the bills, he wondered.
Telangana government offers free power to agriculture sector and the new law will come in the way he said. If the centre wants to fix meters for agriculture pump sets it will face huge revolt by the farmers, he cautioned. Our government offers several Welfare schemes for farmers, and people. (Hydnow)
