Hyderabad, Nov.1 (Hydnow): TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy today said that they would give 30 lakh membership target in Telangana. He said that he had promised to achieve the target of 30 lakh to the national president of the party Sonia Gandhi.
He made these remarks after launching the digital membership drive of the party at Gandhi Bhavan along with AICC state incharge Manickam Tagore and CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
He said that the enrolment of the members into the party was nothing but becoming a member of the congress family. He said that those who take the membership would get a life insurance cover of ₹2 lakh. Reddy said that it was the Congress party that had broken the shackles of slavery of the country and added that the party had done several sacrifices for the country.
He said that it was a matter of pride for all the members of the party that they were also the members of the party whose member is Rahul Gandhi. He said that they would launch training programs to the party workers from the ninth of this month . Reddy said that they would also hold Jana Jagarana Yatra from November 14 to 21.
He said that the Party would hold a massive public meeting on December 9 and added that they would hold the meeting at parade grounds if the authorities concerned allowed them to do so . He said that the party leader Rahul Gandhi would take part in the public meeting. He made it clear that the state would have a congress led state government after the next assembly elections.
CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the membership of the congress party was a matter of pride for them. He said that the party had not only brought freedom to the country but also ensured its development.
Party leaders like Shabbir Ali, V Hanumantha Rao, G. Chinna Reddy, Geeta Reddy, Mahesh Kumar Goud, MLA Jagga Reddy, Seethakka, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Madhu Yaski Goud and others also took part in the program . (Hydnow)
