Bengaluru/Hyderabad, Aug 27 (Hydnow): Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) chairman S.somanath said that India has the ability to go to Mars and Venus along with the Moon. However, more investments are needed for this research, he said.
According to the sources of the news agency, the ISRO Chairman talked about the ISRO plans after the Chandrayaan-3 success.
‘India has the capability to go to Mars and Venus along with the Moon and do research. For that, we need to increase our self-confidence. Apart from that, there is a need for investment in space research. It will develop the space research sector as well as the country. This is our goal, said Somnath. Also, Prime Minster Modi has long-term plans for the development of the country’s space sector. Somnath revealed that they are ready to complete the future goals set by the Prime Minster.
Somnath visited the Bhadrakali temple in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. He advocated naming the place where the Vikram lander landed as Shiv Shakti. Shiv Shakti and Tiranga (the name given to the place where Chandrayaan 2 crash landed). He said that he is interested in both science and spirituality in life. That’s why he said that he would visit various temples read many scriptures and try to find the true meaning of human existence in the universe. He said that the performance of the lander and rover in Chandrayaan-3 is satisfactory. He said that information is being received from them from time to time and in the coming days the performance of Lander and Rover has to be tested in different models. He expressed hope that better results can be obtained only then.
With the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, the whole world including India appreciated the talent of ISRO scientists. After completing his tour of South Africa and Greece, Prime Minister Modi directly reached Bangalore and visited the ISRO ISTRAC office. Along with ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’ they chanted ‘Jai vigyan”. Later, he reached the ISRO office in Peenya and specially congratulated the scientists. (Hydnow)
