Hyderabad, Oct.5 (Hydnow): State Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today said that their government had constructed a total of 12672 crematoria (vaikunta Dhamams) in its limits .
He also said that they was constructed 12737 dumping yards across the state. He made these revelations while replying to questions raised by some MLAs of the State Assembly on the issue of the construction of the crematoria and the dump yards in Telangana during a question and answer session in the state Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the villages of the State were witnessing development like no other village of the country.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had put a special focus on the issue of the development of the state.
Stating that the state has 12769 villages, Rao informed the house that they would complete the construction of 147 crematoria and dumping yards by the end of October this month in the remaining villages of Telangana.
He said that they spent ₹1547 crore for the construction of the crematoriums and ₹319 crore for the construction of the dumping yards.
He alleged that there was no development in rival congress and BJP ruled states and added that they were going ahead with an action plan for the development of the villages in Telangana .
He said that the members cutting across party lines should have proper understanding about the utilisation of the funds and added that no question related to the nature funds should arise in the minds of the members.
He said that they had transformed the crematoria like the temples of the State. He said that they were providing Mission Bhageeratha water to the crematoria .
Rao said that they had set up nurseries in all the villages of the state and distributing the plants from the nurseries to the residents of the villages. (Hydnow)
