Vinukonda: A heated clash between the factions of TDP and YSRCP in Vinukonda has led to a volatile situation, causing concern among the local authorities. The confrontation unfolded as the TDP ranks organized a morning rally to protest against illegal soil mining.
However, the police registered cases against several TDP members who participated in the demonstration. Subsequently, the TDP ranks organized another protest rally, denouncing the alleged unjust cases filed against them.
In response, YSRCP ranks arrived at the scene, further escalating the tension. The situation escalated into a violent clash as both parties engaged in attacks using sticks and stones.
In particular, the car of YSRCP MLA Brahmanaidu was targeted with stones by the TDP ranks. Regrettably, the clash resulted in injuries to 15 individuals from both groups.
To restore order, the police fired into the air, attempting to quell the unrest. In the wake of the unrest, the authorities took the precautionary step of shutting down internet services in Vinukonda. Currently, the police are actively working to disperse both factions and restore peace in the area.
Local law enforcement has also requested additional forces from higher authorities to assist in maintaining order during this tense period.
