Hyderabad, May 14 (Hydnow): In the wake of Congress resounding victory in Karnataka, the impact of that on Telangana politics has become a topic of discussion in the political circles. There is an opinion that these results may have some effect on the leaders who came out of the ruling party.
The congress, which says that these results are encouraging in their party, hopes that no one will leave their party and that others will come to their side. BJP, on the other hand, says that Telangana has nothing to do with the Karnataka results and that they can fight the ruling party here. The debate has started that former minister Jupally krishna Rao, former Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and others who are thinking about which direction to go after coming out Both the BJP and the Congress have been trying to include them for some time now, but both have been postponing them.
It has been doing the rounds for a few days now that they are thinking of taking a decision after the Karnataka results. Now that the results have come in favour of the Congress, it has become a topic of discussion as to what their steps will be. A BJP recruitment committee was formed under the leadership of Etala Rajender to recruit those coming from other parties. Along with Etala, former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, MLA Raghunandan Rao and others went to Khammam and met with Ponguleti and Jupalli and discussed at length but they said that they needed some more time to make a decision.
Key leaders of Congress also discussed with both of them. It is learned that the representatives of the national leadership of congress also discussed. (Hydnow)
