Hyderabad, Sept.27 (Hydnow): TPCC president N.Uttam Kumar Reddy today asked the DCC presidents and the party leaders of the six districts of the state to focus on the upcoming MLC elections. He also asked them to take up the voter enrolment drive for the elections.
He held a meeting with the DCC presidents and the important leaders of Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Ranga reddy and Hyderabad districts at Gandhi Bhavan along with the AICC incharge of the Parth Manickam Tagore.
Speaking on the occasion, AICC incharge Tagore alleged that the ruling TRS party was misusing the power in the state and added that it was also harming the opposition parties and all democratic institutions of the state by using its money and muscle power . He asked the party leaders to keep themselves amid the people of the state and be a part of their problems. Referring to the upcoming MLC elections, he said that all parties workers should become a part of the preparation drive and encourage all graduates to enroll their names as the voters. He also asked them to organise fight for a period of one month on the recent agriculture bills introduced by the central government. He also asked them to conduct a signature campaign from October 2 to October 31 and collect the signatures of farmers and farmers labourers against the agriculture bills. Stating that the state has 700 mandals, he said that 70 leaders of the party should take up the responsibility of all the mandals at the rate of 10 mandals each. He said that he would soon tour the mandals of the state.
He also asked them to constitute sub committees to hold in-depth discussions on various topics and take decisions accordingly. He made it clear that the people of the state would turn towards the party if the party leaders fought on their problems. He asked the leaders to work in the MLC elections as if they were contesting in the elections.
TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy sais that they would submit representation to the governor of the state on the issue of the agriculture bills approved by the central government as per the orders of the AICC. He said that they would also collect the signatures of the farmers from the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi till the birthday of their Party leader Indira Gandhi. He asked the party leaders to hold meetings in all the assembly constituencies of the state on September 29. He asked the DCC presidents and constituency I charged to hold press meets on the MLC elections and prepare the Party workers to work hard for the elections to ensure the victory of the Party candidates.
