The persons, whose identity the police is yet to reveal, were spotted by an auto-rickshaw driver around 9.30 a.m at the open ground near the Bus Station.
According to the police, the two persons were carrying the baby in a bag and told local police constable S Venkata Ramakrishna, who reached the place on being informed by the auto driver, that the baby had died.
