Hyderabad, June 28 (Hydnow): TPCC has also decided to hold year-long centenary birthday celebrations of veteran congress leader and former prime minister of India PV Narasimha Rao. The state president of the Party N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has said that their party president Sonia Gandhi issued orders to hold the year long celebrations in the memory of the late leader. He announced the constitution of a committee for holding the celebrations.
Talking about the achievements of Rao he said that the land ceiling Act introduced by PV was historic. He said that both PV and Manmohan Singh had worked as pair and took the country on the path of economic progress. He said that they had passed a resolution demanding Bharata Ratna to PV. Reddy made it clear that the former PM was their leader and their teacher. He also said that he was an ardent fan of PV and added that he used to discuss so many things with the former PM during his stint at Rastrapathi Bhavan. He said that PV used to like him a lot and added that he accompanied the former PM during his foreign trips. Reddy said that he would demand Bharata Ratna honour to PV in parliament and added that they would invite PV’s family to all the party programs. Commenting on the protest programs of the party, Reddy said that they would hold protest programs in all the district headquarters on Monday and added that the would submit memorandums to all the district collectors after their programs.
He asked the police to not stop any of the party leader and the worker during their protest program. He also said that they would hold another protest program on Tuesday highlighting the failure of the state government in the prevention of corona virus and added that the protest program demanding the waiving off high Electricity bills would be held on July 3 of the next month.

He said that they would wear black badges and black flags as part of their protest program. Commenting on the welfare of the journalists of the state he demanded the state government to recognise the journalists as the frontline warriors and give a compensation of ₹50 lakh on their death. (Hydnow)
