Hyderabad, July 17 (Maxim News): Telangana Government gave its nod reportedly for reopening of the Cinema Theatres across the state from July 23. A key decision in this regard was taken by Telangana Film Chamber which met here.
The Chamber president Murali Mohan and Sunil Narang and others held a meeting and discussed on the reopening of the theaters. The distributors and theaters owners and stakeholders attended the meeting that decided to reopen the theaters. The chamber representatives earlier met the Cinematography minister T Srinivas Yadav. They urged him to give permission to reopen the theaters as thousands of film industry workers are facing food problem due to lack of work in the wake of corona second wave and pandemic. As the cases came down and the lockdown was totally lifted the business is getting back to normalcy and it is time to reopen the theaters they said.
They appealed to the government for necessary orders to give incentives or subsidies as promised to the film industry to ensure the shootings and exhibition of the films in the state. On this the minister reportedly gave his nod to reopen the theaters.
