Delhi/Hyderabad, July 4 (Hydnow): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances. There should not be any double standards in dealing with this.

At the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting which was held under the Chairmanship of Modi today, the Prime Minister gave a virtual speech and said that the SCO Committee should never hesitate to find fault with countries that are supporting cross-border terrorism and supporting terrorists. He gave a strong warning to Pakistan in particular.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Sheh Baz Sharif, raised the issue of terrorism. He said that some countries are making cross-border terrorism a part of their foreign policy and in fact, decisive steps are needed to curb this menace. We all want to fight terrorism together. He pointed out that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is not just an alliance of neighboring countries, but we should feel that we are all one family.

He said that shortages of food, fuel, and fertilizers have become major problems for many countries struggling with problems like geographical disputes and tensions. We want to face these together.

Russian President Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan also participate in this meeting.

India is Chairing the SCO meetings this year. Modi welcomed the addition of Iran as a new member of the alliance. He suggested that the member states should share India’s proposed artificial intelligence ‘Vedika’ ‘bashing’ to remove linguistic restrictions or boundaries in the SCO, it is an example of digital technology. Moreover, he said that it will be useful as a ‘voice of reforms’ in the United Nations and other world-level forums. (Hydnow)
