Hyderabad, Oct.1 (Hydnow): State Finance Minister T. Harish Rao today said that Telangana state was prospering in all sectors.
Speaking in the State Assembly during the ongoing Assembly session, Rao said that the GDP of the state was 4.06 percent at the time of the formation of Telangana and added that it had now reached 4.97 percent after seven years of its formation.
He said that the growth rate of the state was better than the growth rate of the country. He also said that Telangana had registered the highest growth rate in the entire country.
Rao said that the Niti Ayog had stated that the state had registered growth in the primary sector
of the state .
The Minister speaking further said that they were focusing on the completion of pending irrigation projects and added that they were also implementing schemes like Rythu bandhu , Rythu Bhima and crop loan waiver schemes for the farmers of the state.
He also said that they were distributing cattle and sheep to the people of the state. He said that they had spent ₹2.5 lakh on Agriculture and allied sectors during the last seven years.
Targeting the central government, He alleged that the Center had done a lot of injustice to the state by ignoring the recommendations of the finance commission. (Hydnow)
