Hyderabad, Jan.7 (Hydnow): IT Minister KT Rama Rao today said that the state is in the forefront in delivering electronic services to the people.
KT Rama Rao urged the Centre to set up ITIR in Telangana state which is making rapid strides in IT and all other sectors.
He participated in the E-Governance conference by the Centre at HICC here. On the occasion, the Minister sought the Centre to allocate an ITIR to the state.
KT Rama Rao said that the state is providing 17 electronic services through T Fest through the transport department to people. We are offering better services in the electronic devices sector, he said and sought cooperation from the Centre to boost it.
He said that to push digital literacy the government has taken necessary steps to expand internet services.
Digital infrastructure is being developed in the state like never before to provide T- Fiber project to enable 30000 government offices and 80 lakhs of households to get internet connectivity.
KT Rama Rao asked the Centre to take a relook to give ITIR which was cancelled earlier. We are in the forefront in the space sector and the Centre has to set up a center of excellence in space, he urged. He also said that the Centre should allot two electronic manufacturing companies in addition to one in the state.
KTR urged the Centre to take a relook at ITIR which was cancelled by it. He appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take a look again at the plea for an ITIR in Hyderabad. Claiming that the state is making rapid development in IT and industrial sectors, KT Rama Rao urged necessary support from the Centre. The state government is encouraging IT Hubs, innovation and boosting employment by attracting more foreign and domestic investments through new companies and expansions.
