Telangana: Boy Arrested For Sending Threat Email To Mukesh Ambani

Mumbai/Hyderabad, Nov 4 (Hydnow): The Mumbai Police have arrested an accused, 19-year-old Ganesh Ramesh Vanpardi from Telangana in connection with sending threat mails to the Mukesh Ambani, the famous industrialist and head of Reliance Industries who recently received consecutive threat mails.

The police said that the accused had been arrested from Telangana, Later, he was produced in the court.  The court handed him over to police custody till November 8.

it is known that recently there has been mail, threatening Mukesh Ambani, first, on October 27, a mail came demanding Rs. 20 crores, otherwise Mukesh Ambani will be killed, the accused said. After that, there were successive emails of this type.  It is noteworthy that the accused demanded to give Rs. 200 crores and then Rs. 400 crores.

The police registered a case based on the complaint given by Mukesh Ambani’s security in-charge and started an investigation. Based on the IP address, the accused was found to be in Telangana and arrested.  It is said that the accused, named Shadab Khan, sent these threatening emails. The police said that they are investigating further.

It is known that the Ambani family received similar threats last year as well.  On August 15, 2022, a person received a threatening phone call at Harkisandas Hospital run by Reliance Foundation. The accused threatened to blow up the hospital and kill the Ambani family.  The police registered a case and arrested a person.

It may also be recalled that in 2021, a Scorpio car with explosives parked near Antilia, Ambani’s residence, created a sensation. Mansukh Heeren, the owner of Scorpio, died suspiciously within a week of this incident. Inspector Sachin Vaje initially investigated these cases, but later he was found to be the mastermind. NIA officials arrested him. Since this incident, the Central government has been providing security to Mukesh Ambani and his family members.  (Hydnow)
