Telangana Assembly Session To Continue On Sunday Also

Hyderabad, July 28 (Hydnow) Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to hold the sessions of the State Assembly and Legislative Council from August 3.

Keeping in view that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced bringing the Uniform Civil Code and the Bill is likely to come in the current Session of Parliament, the Chief Minister KCR announced to oppose the Uniform Civil Code.

The Chief Minister may adopt a resolution against the Uniform Civil Code in the Assembly and other policy decisions taken by the Union Government.

The ruling BRS was strongly opposing the Uniform Civil Code and the ordinance promulgated to handover of absolute powers to the center in the appointment of bureaucrats in the Delhi State Government.

In view of the elections approaching fast, the Chief Minister decided to hold the session and take some crucial decisions which relate to the implementation of new schemes like Rs. One Lakh financial assistance to Most Backward Classes and Minorities. Apart from this, it may take decisions that relate to the farmers’ welfare.

KCR also prepared to ally apprehensions against the Dharani portal raised by the Opposition Congress and BJP and discuss the damages to the infrastructure due to heavy rains in the state. The session is likely to be held for four to five days. The BRS leaders’ source said that KCR will present a detailed report on the State’s development during the session. (Hydnow)
