Hyderabad, Feb.4 (Hydnow): Health Minister T Harish Rao today instructed the officials concerned to take steps for setting up four TIMS in the city on four sides. He attended a program at MNJ Hospital in the city here. Harish Rao allotted 252 staff and doctors to the hospital and vowed to give 2 acres of land for MNJ Hospital. The hospital has 450 beds now and a 300 bed hospital facility will be added to 750 in the hospital.
Minister conducted a review meeting on the health sector, medical colleges, and facilities to be improved. Speaking on the occasion the minister directed the officials to take measures to start medical colleges, provide facilities and spend adequate funds to procure equipment and gadgets. Our government is for providing the corporate level health services in the government hospitals, the minister said. MNJ Hospital will get more equipment and facilities to provide improved health services, Harish Rao said. MNJ Hospital will get a robotic facility and operation theaters by March. The Minister said that Rs 100 cr is being spent to treat 15000 cancer patients a year at NIMS and MNJ hospitals.
As directed by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao the government took steps to set up four corporate and multi specialty hospitals in the city. These four hospitals will be built in a time bound manner and will get modern healthcare facilities he said. The minister directed the officials to start the works related to the hospitals, medical colleges and get more equipment wherever needed. He said that the four hospitals of corporate level will cater to the health needs of the people in the twin cities on the lines of TIMS near Gachibowli. (Maxim News)
