Hyderabad, Aug.2 (Hydnow): TPCC Senior Vice President Mallu Ravi today said the students of the residential hostels in the State were experiencing hell in the hostels.
He said the condition of the students had become unbearable due to the poor infrastructure of the hostels.
He said the food and the surroundings of the hostels were in very poor condition and added that the status of the residential hostels was a classic example to highlight the plight of the education sector of the State.
Ravi said several hostels in the State, including Basara IIIT, had witnessed the incidents of food poisoning in the last 15 days and added that the food poisoning incidents were turning fatal for some of the students.
He said rodents like rats were biting the students in the hostels and added that the hostels, which are supposed to produce the future intellectuals of the country, we’re keeping the lives of the students at peril.
He demanded that the State government take immediate steps for reforming all the hostels in the State and warned that the Congress party would hold agitations if the State government did not respond to their demand. (Hydnow)
