Hyderabad, May 26 (Hydnow): Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today decided to hold State Cabinet meeting on May 30 (Sunday) at 2 PM.
In the meeting, the Cabinet would discuss about agriculture, crops in the State, the ongoing Paddy procurement process, availability of seeds and fertilizers, curbing the supply of spurious seeds and Corona, Lockdown and other subjects.
The cabinet meeting has assured importance in the wake of reports that the present lockdown will be extended till June 7. It may be noted here that the lockdown has been extended till the 30th of this month by the CM after taking the opinions of all his cabinet colleagues.
Since the lockdown was extended from May 22 to 30 by the government to check cases and deaths in the second wave of pandemic. The government is mulling options on either further extension of the same with some changes of duration or implement curfew as earlier.
The Chief Minister earlier cancelled the cabinet and announced extension of the lockdown till May 30.
This was due to ministers were busy with monitoring Corona treatment, facilities and infrastructure in their respective districts. The state government is to take the decision on lockdown on May 30. It is said that the chief minister may extend the lockdown by another week or for 10 days.
Though he is against the same high court instructions for weekend lockdown, rising cases led for the lockdown.
Also KCR is to instruct the officials concerned to procure all paddy yield, give MSP to farmers after procuring the paddy and ready for coming season. (Hydnow)
