Hyderabad, Sept.17 (Hydnow): Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mayor Bonthu Rammohan today made a visit to congress leader Bhatti Vikramarka house in Banjara Hills.
Later, the Minister and the Mayor took Vikramarka to visit the flagship double bedroom housing units in the city.
This was in response to the Congress leader criticism in the Assembly session on the last day that the government failed to keep its promise of housing for the poor.
He took potshots at the state government that only during elections talking of the houses and ignoring it later on.
Vikramarka has slammed the TRS government for not able to build 1 lakh 2 BHK units in the city.
On this Srinivas Yadav gave a fitting reply and to show the house being completed in several locations. As he said, the minister sprang a, surprise by visiting congress leader house instead of inviting him to the place housing to take a look.
While Vikramarka expressed displeasure that the government is yet to complete the houses.
They are likely to visit the houses at other locations in the city on Friday. The minister said that as of now 15000 houses are completed and the rest are nearing completion and at different stages.
The housing facility is to help the poor make respectful lives he said. He attributed it to vision and plan of Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao. No other states in the country are offering free houses 2 BHK units for the poor like Telangana, the minister claimed. The minister said that Rs 10,000 cr being spent to build one lakh houses for the poor. In future the beneficiaries will get the houses Srinivas Yadav vowed. (Hydnow)
