Srinivas Goud Election Affidavit Tampering Case: Notice To Petitioner

Hyderabad, Aug 23 (Hydnow): A hearing was held today in the People’s Representatives Court in Nampally regarding the election affidavit tampering controversy of Minister Srinivas Goud. In relation to this case, the Mahabubnagar police issued a notice to the complainant Raghavendra Raju on August 19 under a mistake of facts. The police have stated in the notices that they should reply to the notices in court within a week.

However, the petitioner Raghavendra Raju filed a protest petition challenging the notices given by the police. It was brought to the attention of the Court that the police were deliberately trying to avoid the minister. The Court of People’s Representatives, which heard the petition, adjourned the next hearing to August 28.

the court of People’s Representatives in Nampally, which heard the petition filed earlier on the election affidavit tampering controversy of Minister Srinivas Goud, ordered the Mahabubnagar police to register a case against Srinivas Goud and several officials.

Petitioner Raghavendra Raju once again approached the court saying that the Mahbubnagar police did not follow the orders of the court and did not register a case against them. On August 11, the Court of People’s Representatives once again heard the matter.

After hearing the arguments, the bench directed the police to submit the complete details of the case immediately. According to the order of the court. a case has to be registered against 11 people including Minister Srinivas Goud. Police have registered a case against Srinivas Goud and several election officials. (Hydnow)
