Hyderabad, June 7 (Hydnow): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Minorities Dept Chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail on Tuesday demanded that BJP MLA Raja Singh should be arrested immediately for his derogatory comments against Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz (RA).
Abdullah Sohail said people belonging to all faiths visit Ajmer to offer prayers and respect to Hazrath Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Ghareeb Nawaz (RA). By making remarks against Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz (RA), Raja Singh has hurt the religious feelings of not only Muslims but followers of all communities, he said.
Welcoming the registration of a criminal case in Kanchanbagh Police Station of Hyderabad against the BJP MLA, Abdullah Sohail demanded that Raja Singh should be arrested without any delay. “BJP leaders, including Telangana President Bandi Sanjay and MLA Raja Singh, have been giving provocative statements without the fear of being punished by the law. It is highly condemnable TRS Govt is not taking immediate action against BJP leaders,” he said.
Abdullah Sohail demanded that the State Government release the list of cases of hate speeches pending against Raja Singh along with the action taken report. In most of the cases, he said that the TRS Govt did not even register a case against Raja Singh despite several complaints lodged against him. “Hyderabad City Police should declare Raja Singh as a ‘communal rowdy sheeter’ and book him under Preventive Detention Act,” he demanded.
“Raja Singh has been surviving in politics by spreading hatred against Muslims. He is being encouraged by the TRS Government which is not taking any action against this foul-mouthed BJP leader. He must be punished severely as per the law as he got habitual of hurting religious sentiments,” he said.
He said that the Congress party would launch an agitation if TRS Govt fails to take stern action against those who are spreading communal hatred and inciting violence in Telangana State. (Hydnow)
