Hyderabad, July 9 (Hydnow): Telangana Government will construct a mega dairy worth Rs 250 cr at Medipally in Ranga Reddy district, according to Animal husbandry minister, T Srinivas Yadav. He informed media persons that the government has taken a decision to construct the mega dairy project.
Srinivas Yadav said that the project will be built by spending Rs 250 cr. Arrangements are being made for the foundation program for the same the minister said. He also said that a training centre in 55 acres will be built at Mamidipally.
It will offer training to farmers on artificial insemination of animals he said. Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao is for financial development of rural areas through several programs. The dairy at Medipally in Ranga Reddy district will boost milk production, he claimed.
The Minister said that the government is keen to help milk producing farmers in the state. On operational the mega dairy will procure milk on a large scale and prove handy, the minister said. Srinivas Yadav instructed the officials to make arrangements for the foundation laying program. He said that KCR has launched several programs for Yadavas, fishermen and poor. We have distributed 80 lakh sheep to beneficiaries and its number increased to 2 crore, the minister said.
The Minister said that 50 percent of yadavas got the benefit and a committee was appointed to study to set up branded mutton stalls. Yadav said that markets will be built in 5 acres land in Wanaparty and Khammam. For this the government releases Rs,25 lakh each, he added. (Hydnow)
