Hyderabad, June 21 (Hydnow): AICC Secretary Challa Vamshichand Reddy said central government was putting a huge burden on the people of country by increasing petrol and diesel prices every day while ignoring the problems being faced by them due to corona virus outbreak. He said that he people of the country were already facing so many problems due to the corona virus and subsequent lockdown. He termed the increase in the prices of the petrol and diesel as cruel in nature.
In a statement, he said that the petrol and diesel prices were increased for the 14th consecutive term in equal number of days. He said that the hike in the prices was a classic example on how the central government was treating its people. He said that the center had increased the prices by 50 paise on petrol and 61 paise on diesel in the country on Saturday and added that the petrol price stood at Rs.81.88 per liter and diesel price stood at Rs.75.92 in Hyderabad. He said that the oil companies had earned an income of Rs.2.6 lakh crore due to the increase in the prices since the last 14 days.
He said that the Congress led UPA government had sold the petrol for Rs.71 per liter and Diesel for Rs.55 .50 per liter when the crude oil price was Rs.107 per barrel in the international market. He demanded the central government to immediately reduce the prices and provide the much needed relief to the poor people of the country. (Hydnow)
