Hyderabad, Oct.26 (Hydnow): TPCC Chief A. Revanth Reddy today faulted the comments made by Siddipet district collector against the seed dealers and the farmers of the state.
Referring to the comments of the district collector that he would not even listen to the orders of the Supreme Court on the issue of the closure of the seed shops which sold paddy seeds to the farmers, He wondered if the district collector was bigger than the Supreme Court of India.
He alleged that the state government had come up with a plan to close the seed ship it order to shrug of its responsibilities from the paddy farmers.
He asked the state government as to why it had spent lakhs of crores of rupees on the construction of irrigation projects of the state, if it had no interest to cultivate paddy. He demanded the state government to immediately take action gained the district collector.
The collector made the controversial comments during a meeting with the seed dealers held at district Collectorate. (Hydnow)
