After reeling under intense summer conditions over last one month, rainfall on Sunday afternoon brought much needed relief to denizens across city.
Several parts of the city recorded moderate to heavy rainfall, much before the advent of monsoon showers.
According to Telangana State Development Planning Society, Hayathnagar recorded highest rainfall of 37 mm till 1 pm, followed by Abdullapurmet (35 mm), Vaidehinagar (28.5 mm) and Patancheru (16.8 mm).
In the State, Siddipet, Nirmal, Kamareddy, Sangareddy and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts too recorded light to moderate rainfall on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the weather warning by Regional Meteorological Centre indicated that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds were very likely to occur in isolated places over the State.
