Hyderabad, Aug.31 (Hydnow): Telangana High Court issued interim orders that the pressure should not be used on the students to attend regular classes in the schools and colleges from September 1 when the institutions are set to restart. The High Court said that the private schools and colleges can take a decision to start regular classes and cannot force the students to attend physical classes. One M. Balakrishna filed a petition against the restarting of the institutions. On this the HC discussed the details and the preparedness by the government amid corona problems.
The government cannot take action against the institutions for not starting regular classes and should not start Gurukul schools and hostels. The court said that the Government should issue guidelines in a week in this regard, the court said.
The High Court hearing a case on the same, has directed the government to avoid taking action against the institutions on the regular classes or online classes. Since the people fear a possible third wave in October the government should take up campaign and ensure all measures are taken, the court said.
The institutes can conduct either online or regular classes depending on the corona situation in the state the court felt. The parents can either send their children to the regular classes or not. The court further said that there must not be any action against the institutions for the mode of the classes and not take action against the students for absence.
The High Court adjourned the case to October 4 for next hearing.
The government made all arrangements to reopen the schools and the colleges from September 1 by following corona protocols. (Hydnow)
