Hyderabad, September 23: Hyderabad District Election Officer Ronald Rose suggested that the sectoral officers and the police should take joint action to ensure that the upcoming elections are free and fair. District Election Officer Ronald Ross conducted an awareness program with Sectoral Officers and Police Sectoral Officers at Banjara Hills Adivasi Banjara Bhawan on Saturday. Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand participated in the meeting.
On this occasion, the District Election Officer said that for every 10 to 12 polling, a Sectoral Officer and a Police Sectoral Officer have been appointed.
The sectoral officials should provide complete information on the mapping of polling stations and the mapping of the eligible area by September 30.
They want to check the mobile connectivity in the polling station.
They want to create a route map of polling stations so that people can vote easily. No one should be allowed within 200 meters of the polling station.
Drinking water facilities, electricity, toilets, ramps, entry, problematic, sensitive, and highly sensitive places should be identified at the polling center for women, old people, and others without any difficulty.
He said that people would come to vote thereafter creating awareness about the newly established polling stations. People should be made aware of EVM and VV pot.
He said that any doubts regarding the right to vote will be resolved through the 1950 helpline, and the helpline will operate 24 hours after the notification of the election.
