During his appearance at ACB court in Vijayawada on Sunday morning, Chandrababu testified before Magistrate Himabindu. He disclosed that, while in CID custody, he underwent medical examinations and tests at Vijayawada Government Hospital, which revealed increased blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
Chandrababu provided insights into the circumstances surrounding his arrest, stating that CID DIG Raghuram Reddy and Case Investigation Officer Dhanunjay arrived at his location between 5:00 and 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, presenting him with an arrest notice. When inquired about the case’s specifics, he received no response.
When asked if the police mistreated him, Chandrababu clarified that there was no physical mistreatment but alleged continuous mental harassment. He noted that he was initially provided with the FIR and arrest notice, with the remand notice given shortly before his court appearance. Chandrababu contended that his arrest was made without essential evidence and criticized the CID DIG for interrogating him, as he was not the designated investigating officer for the case.
