People Should Come Forward to Protect Environment: Ronald Rose

Hyderabad, September 30: Commissioner Ronald Rose said that everyone should come forward socially and individually to protect the environment.

As part of the Haritaharam program, large-scale saplings were planted in Kukat Pally zone on Saturday under the joint auspices of GHMC, Rotary Club of Moinabad, and Ageas Federal.

On this occasion, saplings were planted in the central median for about 5 kilometers from Shahpur Nagar to Suraram Katta Maisamma Temple in Kutbullapur Constituency. GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose, Zonal Commissioner Mamata, Kutbullapur MLA Vivekananda, Kookat Pally Zone Deputy Commissioners, and representatives of the Rotary Club of Moinabad participated in this program and made this program a success.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that 10% of the budget has been earmarked from GHMC specifically to increase the greenery in the city by growing plants through various programs and providing a pollution-free environment to the city residents.

He said that 600 nurseries will be set up in the city to produce plants needed by the city. He said that especially the state government’s Harithaharam program will provide a pleasant environment.

He said that other than vehicular pollution and other pollution, people are not getting unhealthy milk, but large-scale planting of saplings is done through greenery in the city.

On this occasion, he said that the beautification of 185 ponds in the city would be done and necessary walking tracks and chairs would be arranged for the people.

Along with the government, voluntary organizations will come forward in this program and he thanked everyone for that. The commissioner said on this occasion that GHMC is providing full support to those interested in providing a clean environment for future generations.

Kutbullapur MLA Vivekananda said, Telangana, which is the brainchild of the state Chief Minister KCR, through the Haritaharam program, the forest area in the state has increased more than before, the environmental balance has increased, rains are falling abundantly, and the rains are falling more than ever in the history of the state, and the crop yield is increasing because of the decision taken by the state chief minister, Haritaharam program said.

The Additional Commissioner of UBD said that it was decided to plant 100 lakh saplings this year and the city of Hyderabad has already been planted with greenery.

City parks have been established in the lands belonging to the forest department around the city and made available to the people, the people of the area are working hard to improve their living standards by using them.

Similarly, plants have been planted in various innovative ways in the city to provide a pleasant environment to the people of the city, and vegetable gardens have been established under the flyovers to provide motorists with a pleasant environment.

He said that a pleasant atmosphere will be provided. He said that plantations are being done in various innovative methods.
