Tirupati: JSP Leader Pawan Kalyan has lodged a formal complaint with the Tirupati Superintendent of Police (SP) against Srikalahasti Circle Inspector (CI) Anju Yadav, who allegedly assaulted a Janasena worker. Pawan Kalyan demanded disciplinary action be taken against the CI for his actions.
In a grand welcome at Renigunta Airport on Monday morning, Jana Sena received an enthusiastic response from party workers and fans. Following this, a massive 15-kilometer rally was organized, with Pawan Kalyan leading the procession alongside Kotte Sai, the Jana Sena worker who was assaulted by CI Anju Yadav and six others.
The incident took place during an agitation organized by Janasena in Srikalahasti, Tirupati district. CI Anju Yadav was seen forcefully restraining and physically assaulting Kotte Sai, while also making derogatory remarks towards other activists and fans. The incident was captured on video, which subsequently went viral on social media.
In response to this incident, Pawan Kalyan expressed his unwavering support for Jana Sena members and formally lodged a complaint against CI Anju Yadav with the SP. In light of the incident, senior police officials have issued a charge memo to CI Anju Yadav. Additionally, it has been reported that the District SP has conducted an inquiry into the matter and submitted a report to the Director General of Police (DGP).
