Gram panchayat sanitation workers held celebrations at various mandal headquarters in erstwhile Nizamabad district after the Telangana government increased their salaries to Rs 8,500 per month.
Panchayat workers burst crackers and distributed sweets under the aegis of CITU and IFTU at various mandal headquarters of Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts. They expressed happiness over the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, increasing their salaries and expressed their gratitude to him.
Panchayat staff at Navipet, Varni, Domakonda, Bibipet and other mandal headquarters distributed sweets and held celebrations. Nizamabad GP workers JAC leader N Dasu said that they were happy over the government increasing their salary, but appealed for a solution to their other pending demands. Rajaiah, sanitation worker of Varni mandal, said that they could now lead a better life.
