Bengaluru, July 22, 2023: Ola Electric, India’s largest electric vehicle company, has announced the launch of its highly anticipated affordable purchase window on July 28. To the Ola community and those who book the S1 Air before July 28 will be able to purchase it at a starting price of INR 1,09,999. This limited-period buying window is only open from July 28th to July 30th.
For all other customers, the purchase window will start on the 31st with a revised price of INR 1,19,999 and deliveries will begin in early August.
The Ola S1 Air is a perfect urban city ride companion that will significantly boost the adoption of electric vehicles in India. With extremely low running and maintenance costs, the S1 Air offers cutting-edge technology and design elements inherited from the S1 and S1 Pro at a very affordable price.
With a robust 3kWh battery capacity, a certified range of 125 km and a top speed of 90 km/h, the Ola S1 Air sets a new benchmark in the field of electric mobility.
Commenting on the announcement, an Ola spokesperson said: “Our aim with S1 Air has always been to bring India’s electric vehicle revolution to everyone. The success of the S1 and S1 Pro has made electric vehicles mainstream in the country.
We believe that the arrival of the S1 Air will soon mark the end of the ICE era in India’s scooter industry.”
The company is actively expanding its presence by setting up several Ola Experience Centers (ECs) across India to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the country. The company recently launched its 750th EC and plans to expand to 1,000 centers by August.
It is remarkable that about 90% of Kashtamars live within 20 km of such experience centers.
Featuring state-of-the-art technology and unparalleled performance, the S1 lineup includes the S1 Pro, S1, and S1 Air with a sleek and minimalist design. The company has now topped the sales charts in the 2W EV segment for more than three consecutive quarters.
