Hyderabad, Dec 1 (Hydnow): Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana, Vikas Raj said that there is no possibility of conducting re-poll in any booth of the state.
He said that all arrangements have been made for the counting of votes, and three-tier security has been arranged near each counting center. Counting will be held in 49 centers on December 3.
Speaking to press persons, here today, the CEO, informing on the arrangements, said there will be 1766 tables for vote counting. He said that the postal ballot votes have cost more than ever before. He said that 1.80 lakh people have used postal ballots in the state. He said that 75 percent of polling has been recorded in 78 constituencies.
Vikas Raj said that 70.74 percent of the polling percentage was recorded across the state, compared to 2018, the percentage has decreased by 3 percent. In 2018, 73.37 percent was recorded. He said that those who are above 80 years of age have been allowed to vote from home. Vote from Home has been successful, Special Women Polling Stations have been set up in the state on a model basis.
Vikas Raj said that there are more than 3 crore voters in the state. He said that 18-year-olds are 3.06 percent. He said that there are more female voters than male voters in the state. Webcasting has been put in polling stations. CCTV cameras have been installed near the polling stations.
He said that the highest turnout was recorded in yadadri Bhuvanagiri district at 90.03 percent and lowest at 46.68 percent in Hyderabad. He said that 35,655 polling stations have been set up. (Hydnow)
